Learning Objectives

Learning Objectives

The course is designed to enable workers to conduct the 6 monthly examinations for equipments and maintain appropriate records. It is a practical enhancement to the Work-At-Height Course for Worker/Supervisor.

COURSE OBJECTIVIES

Theory:

  1. Understand the importance of trace-ability for all height safety equipment
  2. Understand the information required to complete inspection records
  3. Understand the effects of continual degradation of equipment and when it must be withdrawn from service
  4. Understand the importance of correct quarantine and disposal procedures
  5. Understand the processes for investigating the effects of contaminants and the details required for returning them to service
  6. Understand the design and testing procedures for height safety equipment
     

Practical:

  1. Be able to inspect/thoroughly examine harnesses and lanyards for signs of continual degradation and fatal flaws.
  2. Be able to record the findings of their inspections/examination.

Who Should Attend

  • Any supervisors / Management staff who will be responsible for the inspection and maintenance of Work at Height PPE
  • Supervisors who need to check the condition of sub-contractors equipment before they start work on site
  • Others that require a practical enhancement to the Work-At-Height Course for Worker/Supervisor

Course Details

Certification

The joint certification between Spanset UK & QMT will be awarded to the participant on successful completion of the written/practical assessment. The certificate is valid for 3 years.
